HOW CAN I GET IN THE CYPRUS RESIDENCY PROGRAM?

The Cyprus Government offers the Cyprus Residency Program to non-EU nationals who invest in Cyprus Real Estate. There are two ways to secure Cyprus Permanent Residency.

  • Fast Track Residency (Under regulation 6(2))
  • Normal Process (Under regulation F Category)

 

Fast Track Residency 6(2)

According to the provisions of Regulation 6(2) of the Aliens and Immigration Regulations, the Minister of the Interior has decided to issue Immigration Permits to applicants who are non-EU nationals.  Upon qualification of all criteria, a GUARANTEED INDEFINITE Residency Permit is given within 2 -4 months. It applies to the investor, their spouse, and dependent children up to age 25. The permits are valid forever, and the process is extremely straightforward.

Criteria for Fast Track Residency:

  1. Purchase of new property in Cyprus worth a minimum of €300.000 + VAT.
  2. The applicant must prove that he has a secured minimum annual income of €30.000 derived from abroad, increased by €5.000 per dependent person.

Normal Process (Under regulation F category)

In this way, Cyprus Residency can be obtained by investing in residential real estate property of any value, and it is not required to meet the criteria of fast track nor provide a declaration of funds or income from abroad.

This process takes from 1 to 2 years. The Residency Permit is granted at the discretion of a Committee subject to the investor providing proof of sufficient living funds or income from abroad. The application is studied on a case-by-case basis and granted approval upon the discretion of the Immigration Authorities.

Required documentation

* The applicant must submit a:

  • Criminal Record Certificate (issued by the country of origin),
  • Health Insurance Policy,
  • Marriage Certificate, and children’s Birth Certificates.
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV) and,
  • Copy of a Passport (valid for at least 1 year) are also required.
