Cyprus opens up to travellers from UK, Russia and Israel

Cyprus travel categories update – 30 March 2021

Cyprus changes categorization of 16 countries

(to take effect from 1st April 2021)

Following reassessment of its colour-coded COVID-19 safe travel list, Cyprus has moved 16 countries into the Red category of travel, including the UK, Russia and Israel. Any arrivals from countries categorised as either Green, Orange or Red are allowed entry in Cyprus without quarantine once the March restrictions end.

The additional Grey tier categorization is reserved for non-EU countries that require special permission for travel and must self-isolate on arrival.

From 1st April 2021, Cyprus will move the following countries in the Red category:

  • UK
  • Israel
  • Russia
  • UAE
  • Ukraine
  • Jordan
  • Lebanon
  • Egypt
  • Belarus
  • Rwanda
  • Serbia
  • USA
  • Armenia
  • Georgia
  • Bahrain
  • Qatar

Travellers from these countries are permitted entry by proving a negative coronavirus test on arrival, within 72 hours of departure, and take another test upon arrival.

Tourists from UK and Israel who provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19 will be permitted entry into Cyprus without requiring testing or quarantine.
