The Cyprus passport has been ranked 13th in the world with respect to the number of destinations holders can travel to without a prior visa according to the latest report from Henley & Partners. This is the highest ranking for Cyprus on the same index since 2007.

Holders of a Cyprus passport can travel to 176 destinations visa-free, with Japan topping the list with 193.

There are 199 passports considered altogether spreading over a total of 110 rankings.

According to the Henley & Partners website:
The Henley Passport Index is the original, authoritative ranking of all the world’s passports according to the number of destinations their holders can access without a prior visa. The index is based on exclusive data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA) – the largest, most accurate travel information database – and enhanced by Henley & Partners’ research team.

The H&P website allows users to search for their passport and see which countries allow for visa-free travel, or require a visa before travel.
